More than 1,200 participants are expected
Medical marijuana caregivers and patients, government officials, business professionals and others interested in the cannabis and hemp industries will gather in Detroit’s Cobo Center later this month for the first-ever Michigan Commercial Cannabis Convention and Expo.
“We’re on the cusp of birthing an industry and have the opportunity to be leaders in Michigan,” said Thomas Tong, convention director. “We’re bringing it to business, industry and government, to make a stand and make sure we get it right.”
Tong said the event is strategically planned for Oct. 30 and 31, about a week before Michigan will vote on Proposal 1 to legalize recreational use of marijuana.
