MA’s Four Daughters Compassionate Care Acquired By IL’s Verano

The acquisition is subject to approval by Massachusetts regulators

A Chicago-based cannabis company has announced plans to acquire Sharon MA-based Four Daughters Compassionate Care, marking the first foray into Massachusetts for the multi-state cannabis operator.

The acquisition is subject to approval by Massachusetts regulators, but the company said it has already begun construction of a cultivation and production facility in Sharon and is renovating an adjacent building for a dispensary.

Verano has also acquired the rights for additional recreational marijuana facilities in Sharon, the real estate and local contracts for an adult use dispensary in Plymouth, and local contracts and real estate — including a 180,000-square-foot adult use cultivation greenhouse and a 20,000-square-foot processing facility — in Halifax.
