Palm Springs California City Council Approves New Permitting Fees For Dispensaries

They are the lowest fees in all of Coachella Valley

Months after opening the city to legal cannabis ventures, the Palm Springs City Council has established fees associated with applying for permits to operate pot-related businesses in the city. The move is meant to bring application fees in line with how much it costs city staff to do the work required to issue those licenses.

The Council unanimously voted in favor of instituting the fees last week, which are lower than any other city in the Coachella Valley, according to an analysis by city staff. Any recreational cannabis businesses who have already been licensed by the city will have to pay retroactively. The city said in a staff report those businesses could pay the fee in two installments.
