Today Is National CBD Day

CBD-infused products are currently widely available in most states

Did you know that on August 8th the world will celebrate National CBD Day? It’s true! In fact, National CBD Day 2019 is actually the second year it’s been celebrated.

Last year, the folks at cbdMD (cbdmd.com) registered a request with the National Day Calendar to make National CBD Day a reality. The National Day Calendar tracks nearly 1,500 National Days, National Weeks and National Months.

CBD-infused products are currently widely available in most states. Still, CBD is not fully legal on the federal level. The FDA has prohibited the sake of CBD in any unapproved health products, dietary supplements or food. Nevertheless, millions of Americans, as well other people throughout the world, are benefitting from the use of CBD to treat countless ailments from chronic pain to inflammation and sleep to mood disorders.

Of course, with 1,500 hundred holidays on a 365-day calendar, it’s only logical that National CBD Day must share the date of August 8th with other special days. Also falling on 8/8 are National Happiness Day, National Frozen Custard Day, National Sneak Some Zucchini Into Your Neighbor’s Porch Day and National Dollar Day. (But we’ll go out on a limb and suggest that only National Happiness Day can measure up to National CBD Day.)

Many cannabis businesses are promoting National CBD Day with sales, specials and giveaways aimed at introducing new consumers to the benefits of this cannabinoid. With lotions, creams, tinctures, edibles and more briskly selling all year long—at shopping outlets beyond the dispensary scene—National CBD Day definitely has retailers seeing green.
