B Real To Host Meet And Greet At Dr. Greenthumb’s Michigan Store
Legendary hip hop artist expands cannabis empire outside of California
B Real, the legendary hip hop artist of Cypress Hill fame, announced today his first meet and greet event at Dr. Greenthumb’s Detroit location on Monday, April 22. One of California’s most well-known cannabis retailers, Dr. Greenthumb’s Detroit is the dispensary’s first location outside of California. The meet and greet will take place from 4pm to 6pm and will include brand activations, live music, food trucks and giveaways including a pair of tickets to Cypress Hill’s “We Legalized It” Detroit show on April 23.
Detroit has played an important role throughout B Real’s career, both in the cannabis and music spaces. Because of his long history with Motor City, B Real turned to Detroit as the landing place for his first Dr. Greenthumb’s location outside of his home state.
“Moving into a new state isn’t easy,” said B Real. “Focusing on markets that have close ties to Cypress Hill is one of the main reasons I decided to bring Dr. Greenthumb’s to Detroit. This city is synonymous with some of the most famous musicians and music artists in the world. Cypress Hill is part of that legacy so it only made sense that Detroit would be home to the first Dr. Greenthumb’s retailer outside of California.”
Dr. Greenthumb’s dispensaries have become a staple of the California cannabis landscape for half a decade. Having opened the first Dr. Greenthumb’s dispensary in 2018 in Los Angeles, the Dr. Greenthumb’s brand has quickly expanded its offerings to include a flower line, vapes and other smoking devices. This is the first Dr. Greenthumb’s dispensary to open in Michigan and is a major win for the brand as the state of the industry continues to be challenging in many localities. This marks the brand’s 7th store nationwide.
Dr. Greenthumb’s Detroit is located at 6220 E. 8 Mile Rd., Detroit, MI 48234. The meet and greet will take place on Monday, April 22nd from 4pm-6pm with the store activations taking place from 10am to 10pm.
