New Medical Cannabis Dispensary Coming To Staunton VA

A new medical cannabis dispensary is expected to open in early October in Staunton, giving Shenandoah Valley patients easier access to state-regulated cannabis products.
The Ayr cannabis dispensary at 488 Frontier Drive will be operated by Ayr Virginia LLC, a subsidiary of Ayr Wellness. The former bank building will include a drive-thru pickup option and is located near major highways serving the region.
Ayr’s main facility at 260 Shady Elm Road in Winchester houses the company’s cultivation, manufacturing and dispensing operations. Ayr opened its Winchester dispensary on Sept. 17, becoming the first pharmaceutical processor to operate in Virginia’s Health Service Area 1. The company is authorized to open five additional dispensaries in the region, including the planned Staunton location.
