The Grove, Las Vegas Nevada
Store Name: The Grove Las Vegas
Store Location: 4647 Swenson Street Las Vegas, NV
Store Website: www.thegrovenv.com
With a wide, clean, and modern aesthetic, The Grove appears almost like an apple store rather than a dispensary. At first glance, The Grove definitely stands out from its surroundings. Their business is housed in a bright and modern building, and located next to the infamous punk bar Double Down Saloon. At first, you’re confused as to why they selected this particular location, given the look and feel of the business compared to its neighbor, however, it is easy to get passed once you get inside. Upon walking up to the entrance you are quickly greeted and confirmed by a security guard who will check your ID and medical recommendation. Once you enter, the weirdness of it all fades away as you walk into an extremely modern styled lobby with massive screens displaying the entirety of the available menu. For your comfort, there were comfortable couches and a large patient intake area. The check-in process was relatively painless as an extremely friendly and helpful gentleman took my information and began to enter it into the system. I sat patiently while reading an artisan cookbook for edibles while I waited to be verified. Once you are checked in, you walk into a wide open and expansive budroom. Located on the left and back end of the dispensary are rows of menus of all of their current products in stock. The dispensary contains a full array of edibles, flower, extracts to make you satisfied.
I was quite impressed with the ease of navigation in using the screens, but I can see how it could be a bit overwhelming if it got crowded. It was thankfully empty when I arrived and thus I was able to walk around to see all of the various options. Strains are displayed on easy to read individual screens with basic information and an image of the product for easy viewing. You are also able to smell and see the actual cannabis in little jars that have rubber stops which is a wonderful trend i’ve noticed taking root in more upscale shops. I inquired about several strains that they were unfortunately out of, and was disappointed by the lack of strain genetics information provided by the budtender. We managed to rummage through the options to come to settle on L’Orange by Cannabiotix Nevada which turned out to be an excellent choice by one of the Nevada’s best growers. If you are ever in the Las Vegas area and are a medical marijuana patient, (or recreational patient after July 1st) and find yourself near McCarran International, I highly recommend stopping by The Grove.
