In New York, St. Lawrence Co.’s First Cannabis Dispensary Closes

It’s moving to Halfmoon, near Albany

 A North Country cannabis dispensary is leaving town.

When The Highest Peak opened on Main Street in Potsdam in 2023, it was the first state-regulated store to sell marijuana in St. Lawrence County.

Last week, it closed up shop and is moving to Halfmoon, near Albany.

The owner, Aurora Wood, lives in Saratoga and has frequently had to drive between the Capital Region and the North Country.
